Avoiding Emissions for a Climate-Friendly Energy Future

By feeding solar power into the grid, we reduce the need for fossil fuels — preventing the greenhouse gases that conventional power generation would produce and supporting the shift to climate-friendly energy supply.

Every kilowatt-hour counts: Each kWh generated by our plants makes a measurable contribution to achieving global climate targets.

How It Works

Solar power displaces energy from fossil sources like coal or gas. While conventional power plants emit around 1,000 g CO₂ per kWh, solar energy generates just 20–70 g CO₂ per kWh over its entire lifecycle. The difference: Every kWh of solar power avoids nearly 1 kg of CO₂ — a clear win for climate protection. (Source: IPCC, as of 2023)

Our Approach to Precise Calculation

We’re working to slow climate change with clean solar power that displaces fossil energy. Every ton of CO₂ avoided shows the real impact we’re making on climate protection.

Instead of relying on rough averages, we calculate avoided emissions dynamically: We factor in the actual electricity mix at the time of grid feed-in, and track our feed-in volumes in 15-minute intervals. This gives us precise, reliable data on exactly how much CO₂ our solar parks are avoiding.

Transparency for Our Partners

Companies using our solar power benefit from this precise methodology. They get a clear, verifiable CO₂ balance that demonstrates the true emissions reduction impact — helping them confidently prove their climate goals and communicate their sustainability strategy with credibility.

Beyond emissions avoidance, we pursue these additional impact value chains:

Biodiversity

We pair climate-friendly power generation with active nature conservation — because solar parks can enhance the ecological quality of land.

Supplier Qualification

When selecting suppliers, we assess labor and human rights risks as well as environmental factors across the entire supply chain.

Circular Economy

We prioritize the reusability of technical project components to conserve resources and strengthen raw material cycles.

Our Ecological Responsibility

Avoided emissions are a cornerstone of our holistic sustainability strategy. Combined with our other impact value chains, they’re helping shape a future where ecological, social, and economic responsibility align seamlessly.
