The Perendale solar park, developed by solar specialist hep solar, recently reached the important milestone of the Commercial Operation Date (COD) and is now feeding solar power into the grid. The entire amount of electricity generated is purchased by the energy cooperative EnergyUnited. The Perendale solar park is owned by the HEP-Solar USA 2 fund and is thus part of the HEP-Solar Portfolio 2. These are managed by HEP Kapitalverwaltung AG.
hep solar: Commissioning of the Perendale Solar Park
Together with project stakeholders and local officials, hep solar and EnergyUnited recently held a ceremony to mark the park’s commissioning, thereby recognizing the project’s positive impact on the local energy landscape. The Perendale Solar Park is located in Mocksville, North Carolina, on the Piedmont Plateau. Spanning an area of 50 hectares, approximately 18,200 modules have a capacity of around 9.8 MWp (DC), supplying renewable energy to about 1,400 homes.
